This painting began with the simple intention of a horizon. Yet as I worked, the colour and form unfolded intuitively, shaping themselves beyond the original idea. Each layer responded naturally to the last, guiding the direction of the piece.
What remained is a quiet meeting of light and distance — a horizon that feels less defined by place, and more by feeling.
